Department of Defense (DOD) Fiscal Year 2005 (FY05) Prostate Cancer Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Undergraduate Collaborative Summer Training Program Award (STP): The intent of the HBCU Undergraduate Collaborative Summer Training Program Award is to establish summer prostate cancer training programs at host institutions that will provide meaningful prostate cancer research experiences for undergraduate students enrolled at HBCU. A goal of the HBCU Collaborative Summer Training Program Award is to establish a relationship between the host institution and HBCU that will lead to attracting talented undergraduate students into careers that focus on prostate cancer research. It is anticipated that these awards will provide educational and training opportunities for undergraduate students at an important career decision-making point.
