On February 14, 2007, we published a notice inviting applications for the BMS Centers FY 2007 competition in the FederalRegister (72 FR 7301). That notice established an April 30, 2007 deadline date for eligible applicants to apply for funding under this program. We received four eligible applications. As indicated in the February 14, 2007 notice, the Secretary intends on making four awards. In order to fund the highest quality applications in this competition, the Secretary would like to increase the number of applicants. Therefore, the Secretary is reopening the BMS Centers FY 2007 competition to other eligible applicants and updating the submission requirements for the competition.
