Discovery, validation, and genotyping of single nucleotide polymorphisms in inconnu (Stenodus leucichthys).: This funding opportunity is for the discovery, validation and genotyping of approximately 10,000 single nucleotide polymorphisms, SNP, in 200 inconnu, Stenodus leucichthys, from Alaska. These SNPs will be used by the Service to address two objectives 1. perform mixed-stock analysis,MSA, on inconnu harvested in the winter subsistence fishery in the Hotham Inlet, Alaska, 2. describe and evaluate genetic population structure of inconnu throughout Alaska.
