Dwarf Bear Claw Poppy Arctomecon humilis Pollinator Study: The objective of this study is to conduct a pollinator study of the endangered dwarf bear claw poppy. Three objectives would be met:1. average fruit production and seed set would be compared between populations that are naturally pollinated and those that have been hand outcrossed, 2. flower visitors of all poppy populations would be collected and identified, and 3. perform experimental cross-pollination between populations to determine whether or not genetic isolation is limiting reproductive success. Successful completion of the project will result a greater understand of the relationship between the endangered poppy and its pollinators. This information will be critical in management of the poppy habitat.
