Environmental and Health Effect Tracking: CDC?s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, ?Environmental and Health Effect Tracking.? Approximately $6,000,000 is available to fund 12 awards to state health departments and the local health departments of Chicago IL, Philadelphia PA, Los Angeles CA, Houston TX, and New York City NY. The purpose of the program is to demonstrate and evaluate methods for linking data from ongoing, existing health effects surveillance systems with data from existing surveillance/monitoring systems for human exposure and environmental hazards.
