Epidemiologic Study of Interstitial Cystitis: The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support research that will expand on preliminary findings on interstitial cystitis (IC) in the United States and enhance our understanding of the demographic and clinical characteristics of IC, variation in clinical practices, and the impact of the disease. The FOA also includes development of a national surveillance model for IC. The results from this study will provide a better understanding of the epidemiology of the disease and be used to target interventions for groups at high risk for IC and inform best clinical practices.
