FMCS Labor-Management Cooperation Grant Program: In accordance with the terms of the Labor-Management Cooperation Act of 1978, FMCS considers applications from plant, geographic or area-wide committees. During the 2016 grant cycle, we especially encourage applications from area-wide, industry or sectoral joint labor-management committees focused on the 21st century economy and the challenges of a rapidly evolving workplace, such as:

working conditions for an increasingly mobile workforce;

Competition will be open to committees at any of the three levels, plant or company, area or industry. FMCS encourages labor-management committees who are confronting specific, definable problems for which they have developed clear, innovative and measurable long-term solutions to apply. All applications should focus directly on supporting the needs of the committee. Applicants should avoid seeking funds for activities that are clearly available under other federal programs (e.g., facilitation, mediation of contract disputes, etc.)
