FY 2007 Request for Proposals for Coordination of Regional Pollution Prevention Information Centers: The Source Reduction Assistance Grants Program issues grants to support pollution prevention/source reduction and/or resource conservation projects that help to eliminate pollution at the source. The Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics expects to have approximately $100,000 available in fiscal year 2007, to fund one proposal for the coordination of the Pollution Prevention (P2) Information Network centers. These regional P2 information centers coordinate work among State and Local technical assistance providers to minimize duplication of effort and improve information synthesis, dissemination, and training in order to promote pollution prevention techniques. Coordination of these regional centers involves facilitating conference calls, discussions and priority setting among the regional centers as well as maintaining a web site, reporting measures and recording minutes. Leadership in measuring and evaluating the performance of the regional centers will be a crucial part of the coordinators role in the next two years.
