FY 2025 Hazardous Materials Instructor Training Grant: The HMIT Grant Program was authorized under the Hazardous Materials Transportation Safety and Security Reauthorization Act of 2005 (P.L. 109-59, codified at 49 U.S.C. § 5107(e)), which authorizes the Secretary of Transportation to make grants for the purpose of training instructors and to the extent determined appropriate, for such instructors to train hazardous materials (HAZMAT) employees.
