Golden Gate Alcatraz Monitor and Managment of Natural Resources: The objective of this Task Agreement is to collaborate on the monitoring, evaluation and management of natural resources on Alcatraz Island. The GGNRA and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy (GGNPC) have a substantial history of collaboration on Alcatraz. The GGNRA and GGNPC worked together to develop the Bird Conservation and Management Strategy for Historic Alcatraz Island (¿Strategy¿) in 2005. This Strategy is being updated in 2014 to address new goals in the General Management Plan (GMP), including the opening of previously closed areas of the island for visitor or operational use.
