Impacts of Superstorm Sandy: Coastal Adaptation for Affected Parks and Revegetation Staten Island Unit, Gateway NRA NY: This is NOT a request for applications; this is an announcement that an award has already been designated for Rutgers University for their work on site-specific collaboration in the Sandy Recovery efforts. Rutgers University will provide the following for the Components: Deliverables for Component 1 - Generate appropriate site monitoring data sets for application of site proposals. - Review final documents for these sites for geomorphological considerations, within one month of receipt of documents. - Consider and make recommendations for coastal adaptation in accordance with the forthcoming General Management Plan as well as Natural and Cultural Resource Plans. Deliverables for Component 2 - Produce a short report on the geomorphological situations present at each of the four (exclude Great Kills 1) sites, within one month of site visit. - Generate appropriate site monitoring data sets for application of site re-vegetation proposals. - Review final documents for these sites for geomorphological considerations, within one month of receipt of documents. - In time sensitive cases, on-site field reviews may be needed within a few days. - Consider and make recommendations for re-vegetation in accordance with the forthcoming General Management Plan as well as Natural and Cultural Resource Plans. Accompanying the Final project documents, all project data files, including metadata, will be submitted to the NPS.
