Implementation of Invasive Palnt Projects at Lake Mead National Recreation Area: Great Basin Institute is an interdisciplinary field studies organization that promotes environmental research, education, and conservation throughout the west. GBI manages the Nevada Conservation Corps (NCC) as one of its several programs. Partnering with federal and state agencies throughout the state of Nevada, the NCC provides training, work experience, and opportunities for environmental education to diverse youth across the state through conservation projects. This task agreement will provide early career professionals with educational opportunities to learn about environment and conservation projects. The involvement of youth and young adults in natural resource project implementation stimulates the public purpose of resource conservation and training.
