Improve Trail Signage and remove Graffiti at Joshua Tree National Park: A. Project Goals â¿¿ Joshua Tree National Park is focused on two primary goals with this project: provide greater public access to public lands by providing improved directional signage for multiple trails in a zone where visitors get lost in the braded dry river beds that are characteristic of the area, and remove persistent â¿¿ and highly visible â¿¿ graffiti in areas frequented by park visitors. B. Project Objectives â¿¿ NPS personnel will train the selected intern in standards and procedures for multiple maintenance tasks. These tasks include adding additional signage in areas identified by park staff as under signed areas. They will learn the latest techniques in sign design, layout and production. This also includes the installation of the signs that have been designed and produced. The intern will also learn the latest techniques in graffiti removal within the Indian Cove and Jumbo Rock Campground areas.
