Intergenerational Family Resource Allocation: The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA) invite research grant applications proposing intergenerational research to help us understand how private behavior is manifest in allocating family resources across the generations and how public policy affects these allocations. Research is solicited that examines the manner in which private family resource allocation decisions result in improvements in health, wealth accumulation (including human capital), and well-being for children, active adults and the elderly, and how public policy interacts with family processes to alter these results. Investigators may propose secondary data analysis and/or new data collection.
