Inventory of Amphibians and Reptiles at Gateway National Recreation Site: This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition. Specifically, URI agrees: Inventory of Amphibian and Reptile Populations Gateway NRA will be inventoried for amphibians and reptiles for 20 days each month in March ‒ August 2017. We will follow the methods used by Cook (in draft) during the previous amphibian and reptile inventory at Gateway NRA and employ the use of coverboards, turtle traps, dipnetting, nighttime call surveys, and visual encounter surveys, to maximize detection of species present in different habitats. Specific species will be targeted for additional effort based on the results of the field work.
