Limited Competition for Data Deposition and Analyses of Genome Wide Association Studies of Mental Disorders (Collaborative R01): -Purpose. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) announces a limited competition for applications that propose to deposit data (genotypes and phenotypes) into an NIH Repository to augment existing resources and to analyze combined Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) of Mental Disorders of interest to the NIMH. -Mechanism of Support. This funding opportunity will use the NIH Collaborative Research Project Grant (Collab R01) award mechanism and runs in parallel with a FOA of identical scientific scope, RFA-MH-080-120, that solicits applications under the R01 mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The NIMH plans to commit approximately $2.5 M to fund approximately 5 awards across both R01 and Collaborative R01 FOAs. Awards issued under this FOA are contingent upon the availability of funds and the submission of meritorious applications.
