Mentored Research Scientist Development Award in Metabolomics (K01): Metabolomics is a rapidly growing field that has the potential to advance our understanding of human diseases and how individuals respond to therapy. It is critical to have highly trained individuals who understand the field of metabolomics and can work and communicate with clinicians and other health professionals to perform, analyze and interpret the data obtained from metabolomic studies. This NIH Mentored Research Scientist Development Award will provide salary and research support for a sustained period of protected time (3 to 5 years) for postdoctoral and clinical fellows or investigators who meet the definition of a NIH New Investigator to pursue intensive research training in the field of metabolomics under the guidance of an experienced mentor who has an established research record in metabolomics.
