Migratory Bird Joint Ventures: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Northeast Region, intends to make a sole source award of a cooperative agreement to the American Bird Conservancy of Virginia (hereafter the ABC). Funding for this project as provided under the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, as amended, 16 U.S.C. 742a-754, and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, 16 U.S.C. 709a. ABC was selected to receive this award based on a combination of the following criteria: 1) this project is a continuation of activities for which ABC has already been funded in support of the operations of the AMJV, and 2) ABC⿿s unique qualifications for successfully completing the work described below with regard to implementing AMJV priorities. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Northeast Region, intends to make a sole source award of a grant agreement to the American Bird Conservancy of Virginia, in the amount of $90,730.88 to cover work from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. The American Bird Conservancy is a 501© (3), not for profit organization whose mission is to conserve native birds and their habitats throughout the Americas. The American Bird Conservancy is the only U.S. based group with a major focus on bird habitats throughout the Americas. The American Bird Conservancy acts across the full spectrum of threats to birds to safeguard the rarest bird species, restore habitats, and reduce threats, unifying and strengthening the bird conservation movement. The start date for this project is January 1, 2018.
