Migratory Bird Monitoring Assessment and Conservation: This is an announcement for issuing a single source financial assistance award to Government of Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, National Wildlife Research Centre. This announcement is for notification purposes only. The intent of the award is Exposure Analysis of ESA listed Shorebirds and Seabirds to Offshore Wind Energy Areas in the U.S. Atlantic. This award is made under the authority of Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, as amended, 16 U.S.C. 742a 754, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, 16 U.S.C. 703 712, and Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 16 U.S.C. 2901-2911. This information is essential for evaluating risk of these species from offshore wind energy development and will be used in NEPA assessments and Section 7 Consultations between Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and USFWS. This project supports the Department of Interiorâ¿¿s priorities of sustainably developing our energy and natural resources, creating a conservation stewardship legacy, second only to Teddy Roosevelt and striking a regulatory balance.
