Molecular Mechanisms of Combination Adjuvants (MMCA) (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed): The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support research studies of two or more vaccine adjuvants (combination adjuvants) in order to understand the mechanisms by which they work in concert. All adjuvants considered must have previously demonstrated immune modulating activity. The long-term goal of this research program is to improve the rational design of vaccines by predicting the immune profile elicited by combination adjuvants.
