Monitoring secretive marsh birds, focusing on two Species at Risk including Black Rail and Seaside Sparrow on 21 coastal National Wildlife Refuges: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a cooperative agreement to East Carolina University. This project will fill critical data gaps for species occurrence and, possibly, population estimates and habitat conditions for these two At-Risk species and other trust resources. This information will benefit regional At-Risk species status assessments and fill data gaps to inform management of these species on refuge and partner lands.
