NCMHD Endowment Program for Increasing Research and Institutional Resources Capacity in Section 736 Health Professions Schools (NCMHD Research Endowment Fund) (S21): -Purpose. The purpose of this program is to build capacity and research infrastructure and to facilitate minority health research and research regarding other health disparity populations at eligible institutions, but not to directly support the research itself. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the S21 Capacity Building mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The NCMHD intends to commit approximately $20 million in FY 2008 to fund approximately three-four new and/or competitive continuation awards in response to this FOA.
