NEI Clinical Vision Research (U10): Purpose. The National Eye Institute (NEI) supports investigator-initiated clinical vision research projects, including clinical trials and large-scale epidemiologic studies in vision research. The intent of this funding opportunity announcement is to provide a framework for applicants proposing clinical vision research projects, including clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
