NIDA Research Education Grants in Drug Abuse and Addiction (R25): The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Research Education grant is a flexible and specialized mechanism designed to foster the development of drug addiction researchers through creative and innovative educational programs. Programs that focus on preparing researchers in cross-disciplinary integration and/or translational research of neuroscience, basic behavioral, prevention, clinical, treatment, and services research are particularly encouraged. Of particular interest are educational experiences that will attract, train, and further the career development of physician scientists and other clinical professionals, underrepresented minority scientists, and adolescent, pediatric and geriatric researchers interested in pursuing research relevant to the mission of NIDA. NIDA invites grant applications to support innovative educational programs that focus on preparing researchers in clinical research careers relevant to drug abuse and addiction.
