FHWA seeks to award grants as allowable by law and consistent with the goals of GAMTTEP, that proactively address equity and barriers to opportunity. This objective reflects Executive Order (E.O.) 13985, Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government (86 FR 7009).Program Overview: The purpose of GAMTTEP is to address historical disparities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, particularly among females and minorities at the elementary and secondary school level, by supporting innovative curriculum development, immersive learning experiences, and community engagement initiatives.Funding: The total amount of funding that may be made available for awards under this NOFO is $1.8 million, subject to the availability of funds in each of FYs 2024 through 2026 from amounts authorized in BIL (Pub. L. 117- 58) and the FAST Act for Training and Education programs.The estimated amount of funding available per award under this NOFO is up to $300,000 each for performance of the tasks outlined in this NOFO in each of FYs 2024 through 2026.*Please note that this NOFO is subject to availability of funding. The Government’s obligation under any resulting award is contingent upon the availability of funding.
