NPS is jointly developing the scope and activities to be accomplished. NPS will also provide technical assistance to the IH&G Group. The Recipient is a member of the Great Lakes-Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit who was awarded a Master Cooperative Agreement (NPS P12AC31164) allowing Michigan Technological University to participate in specific tasks, and can provide the necessary activities involved in this particular task while providing an effective outcome for NPS and the objectives of this research/educational project. The IH&A Group will undertake the needed research using student research assistants and the project will facilitate the training of a PhD student in Industrial Heritage and Archeology.
