NOTICE OF INTENT: Next Generation Ranger Corps Opportunity to Practice Traditional Curriculum-based Education and Provide Recreation Opportunities to Local Tucson Youth: A. 54 U.S.C. 101702(a) Cooperative Agreements, Transfer of Service Appropriated Funds. This authority allows the NPS to enter into Cooperative Agreements involving the transfer of NPS appropriated funds to State, local and tribal governments, educational institutions, and private nonprofit organizations for the public purpose of carrying out NPS programs. B. 16 U.S.C. 1723(c)(1) Public Land Corps. This act authorizes the Secretary to enter into contracts and cooperative agreements for individuals ages 16-30 with any qualified youth or conservation corps to perform appropriate conservation projects. Projects are typically for development and maintenance of natural resources and environmental education programs. Requires a 25 match of non-Federal funds from the recipient.
