National Center on School-Based Health Care Cooperative Agreement Program: The National Center on School-Based Health Care Cooperative Agreement Program (NCSBHC) provides current, evidence-based information, resources and technical assistance to school-based and school-linked health centers in order to improve and enhance their service capabilities and quality of care. As part of this effort, the NCSBHC identifies and analyzes emerging issues on behalf of the field and develops models of interagency and interdisciplinary collaboration for delivering physical and mental health services in schools that involve school staff, school-based/school-linked health centers, and community agencies. Because the NCSBHC is national in scope, it interacts with the approximately 1,700 school-based/linked health centers in the United States, as well as with schools and communities interested in developing this model of health care. The NCSBHC interacts collaboratively with other HRSA/MCHB programs that promote school health and adolescent health.
