National Institutes of Health Grant: -Purpose. The purpose of the NINR Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) for Health Disparities Research at Minority Serving Institutions (MSI's) (R15) is to stimulate health disparities and minority health research at minority-serving schools of nursing and to promote the development of minority nurse scientists as independent investigators.
