Nhlbi Competitive Supplements for Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research: The purpose of these supplements is to enable NHLBI grantees with little or no prior experience working with human embryonic stem (ES) cell lines to conduct research with these cell lines that is directly related to the aims of an existing, funded NHLBI grant. The research proposed in the supplement should be within the scope of the existing NHLBI grant and may not expand the original scope of the parent grant. Only research using human ES cell lines listed in the NIH Human Embryonic Stem Cell Registry will be eligible for Federal funding (see http://escr.nih.gov/).
