Notice of Funding Opportunity Bioethics and Disability Report Series: The National Council on Disability (NCD) is seeking proposals for a report series on bioethics and disability. The report series will examine policies and practices related to the availability of medical interventions and life-saving medical care for people with disabilities. It will examine five specific areas where disability and bioethics intersect, with a focus on how a person's disability impacts medical decisions: organ transplants; medical futility; physician assisted suicide; genetic testing for fetal disability; and Quality Adjusted Life Years. Each report will make findings and recommendations aimed at improving access to life-saving medical care for people with disabilities, and improving the understanding of policy makers and the medical community on the value of the lives of people with disabilities.
