OVC FY24 Emergency and Transitional Pet Shelter and Housing Assistance Grant Program: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is seeking applications for funding.OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community.With this solicitation, OVC seeks to provide funding for shelter and transitional housing and other assistance to victims of domestic violence and their companion animals, which under this program means pets, service animals, emotional support animals, and horses.This program furthers the DOJ’s mission to uphold the rule of law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights.

Any organization that works directly with pets, service animals, emotional support animals, or horses and collaborates with any organization listed above, including—an animal shelter, or an animal welfare organization.
