Online Environmental Science Program: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata seeks proposals for a project entitled “Online Environmental Science Program.” The proposed project will educate high school students about local systems of water and the root causes and effects of air and/or water pollution in order for them to learn about their local environmental systems, to apply action locally, and to inform their communities of the challenges and next steps required to improve their local environment.
The project proposes a collaborative effort between a U.S.-based institution and an India-based institution to develop/design or use/modify previously created modules to provide online learning lessons in the area of air and/or water science. The implementing partners will also select an equal number of secondary high schools from the United States and the Kolkata Consular District in India (10-15) to participate in a semester-long program based on the established modules. High schools should be selected to match similar or same climes and environmental challenges when possible. Students should be selected to achieve gender parity. For detailed information please access full announcement.
