Piping Plover and Red Fox Monitoring on Fire Island, NY: The project includes investigations to evaluate red fox abundance, density, distribution, productivity, and habitat use from inlet to inlet under varied management regimes (e.g., exclusive use of predator exclosures vs. exclosure use and predator removal) and piping plover demographics and habitat use throughout the FIMI and Fire Island as a whole.
