Preventing Terrorist Recruitment of Youth Online: In 2024, teenagers accounted for up to two-thirds of ISIS-linked arrests in Europe, with children as young as 11 involved in recent terrorist plots. With governments becoming increasingly concerned about this evolving threat and the increasingly younger age of children being targeted, there is a need to effectively prevent the exploitation of social media and online gaming platforms for terrorist radicalization and recruitment. CT therefore seeks a proposal that not only diminishes the availability of terrorist content but also provides vulnerable communities with the resources to identify terrorist threats online.
