Project Leading to Design and Development of Sustainable, Scalable Farmer or Community Seed Storage Models for Vulnerable Populations: Under this APS, OFDA is specifically looking for innovative methods or research programs, preferably building upon traditional seed storage methods that are culturally acceptable and do not require long-term input from an outside source. While proposals that focus on community-level storage methods will be considered, preference will be given to systems that are functional and sustainable at the household level. Proposals for conventional seed banks will generally not be considered.
