RFA-Announcement of a Limited Competition for the Continuation of the Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network (UITN) [U01]: This is an announcement for a limited competition to solicit grant applications from investigators whose institutions are currently serving either as a Clinical Center or the Data Coordinating Center for the Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network (UITN). This Limited Competition will provide support for four years to Clinical Centers to continue recruitment, intervention, and follow-up of study participants enrolled in the Trial of Mid-Urethral Slings (TOMUS) and maintain long-term follow-up of women who completed the Stress Incontinence Surgical Treatment Efficacy Trial (SISTEr) and the Behavior Enhances Drug Reduction of Incontinence (BE-DRI) clinical trials. This Limited Competition will also provide support for the Data Coordinating Center to continue to serve as the central repository to perform quality checks of the information received and to conduct analyses for TOMUS. In addition, the Data Coordinating Center will continue the follow-up studie! s of SISTEr and BE-DRI to perform final data analysis for these clinical trials.

You may submit an application if your organization has any of the following characteristics: Your institution received a Notice of Award (NoA) to participate either as a Clinical Center or the Data Coordinating Center for the Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network either under Request for Applications RFA-DK-99-001 or RFA-DK-01-018. Eligible Individuals Individuals who have enrolled patients in the two clinical trials conducted by the UITN (SISTEr and BE-DRI) during its first funding period (or in the case of the Data Coordinating Center, the institution which created the database, received data, and maintained the database for these clinical trials) are invited to submit grant applications to continue to participate in this network. The grant application should provide evidence that the work proposed is appropriate for the level of experience of the proposed Principal Investigator and for ! that of other researchers.
