RMYC Crew working directly with the CRD Trail Crew: The purpose of this task agreement is to provide educational and work opportunities to young people so that they may gain a better understanding and appreciation of NPS natural and cultural resources. This project will address deferred maintenance and resource protection on the Lower Tonahutu Trail area and include work on deteriorated log causeways, trail drainage and erosion control systems, and re-establishing the required trail corridor width. The project will include an educational component for the Recipient members including exposure to park experts involved with resource preservation and stewardship, visitor management and protection, facility management, interpretation and park administration.
