Regional Environmental Priorities (REP): This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits proposals for financial assistance to eligible entities through the Regional Environmental Priorities program of EPA Region 4. The goal for this funding to external organizations is to help the Region, states, local governments, and communities address areas and issues that are priorities because of their complexity, extent, threat to ecosystems and communities, and/or because of the significant need to protect and restore specific environments for the future. EPA will not fund routine implementation projects under this solicitation, but is seeking new approaches, solutions, demonstrations, or pilots that might serve as future models for addressing these regional environmental priorities. An estimated amount of $400,000 for up to nine cooperative agreements may be awarded under this announcement for multi-media, innovative projects addressing regional environmental priorities addressed in the full announcement.
