Replicable Smart City Technologies Cooperative Agreement Program: NIST invites applications from eligible applicants (referred to below as City/Community Partners) for a program that will support cities and communities in team-based efforts under the 2016 Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC). The purpose of this funding opportunity is to enable cities and communities to take a lead role in the team-based GCTC efforts to advance the measurement science of replicable, standards-based smart city technologies that provide measurable performance metrics, meet the needs of cities and communities of all types and sizes, and provide platforms for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Additional Information on Eligibility
Local governments located in the United States and its territories and participating as a Team member in NIST’s 2016 GCTC. For purposes of this program, a local government is defined as any incorporated political subdivision of a state that is composed of the citizens of a designated geographic area and which performs certain government functions on a local level; local governments include counties and municipalities such as cities, towns, villages, and boroughs. An eligible organization may work individually or propose subawards or contracts with others effectively forming a team or consortium. Only one application will be considered per GCTC Team. A GCTC Team that includes more than one eligible local government member must designate one of the eligible local government team member as the lead responsible for submitting the application and, if selected, for receiving and administering the award, with the other members participating through subawards or contracts.
