Request for Applications for Alaska Tribal Multi-Media Projects: This funding provides an opportunity to improve environmental protection for Tribes in rural Alaska. Most of the 230 Federally-recognized Tribal governments in Alaska are located in isolated rural villages. Tribal members rely on subsistence resources for survival. Alaska Tribes located in remote village locations, have no or very limited access to environmental protection resources, funding, and programs, except what Tribes themselves provide. Projects will be selected based on their potential to ameliorate conditions adverse to Tribal health and the Tribal environment.
