Research Apprenticeship Program for Students with Disabilities: The National Exposure Research Laboratory wishes to provide hands-on training for college/technical school students with disabilities and to encourage them to purse degrees in math, science and engineering. The goal is to increase the participation and success of such students in science, thereby increasing the pool of such students as future scientists. From two to six students with disabilities will be provided with an opportunity to be trained in areas of environmental sciences in EPA laboratories in Research Triangle Park, N.C. under the mentorship of EPA scientists and engineers.
