Research Collaborations to Provide 900 Mhz Nmr Spectroscopy: The purpose of this RFA is to re-announce the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) program to create "Research Collaborations to Provide 900 MHz NMR Spectroscopy," last issued as GM-01-005 in July 2001. The NIGMS believes that nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers operating at field strengths of 900 MHz (21.1T) or higher have the potential to dramatically improve our understanding of the structure and dynamics of proteins, nucleic acids, and other biological macromolecules. The purpose of this program is to provide shared access to ultra-high field strength NMR spectrometers for groups of NIGMS-funded investigators studying challenging biological problems that can uniquely benefit from the use of ultra- high field NMR spectroscopy.
