Research and Evaluation on Trafficking in Persons: With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals for research and evaluation projects to address the knowledge gaps related to trafficking in persons in the United States. NIJ is particularly interested in studies of labor trafficking and of traffickers and their facilitators. NIJ is also interested in evaluation studies of counter-trafficking programs and tools. Applicants should familiarize themselves with prior NIJ awards in these areas as part of their literature review. All applications should identify the implications for policy and practice in the United States. No funds made available under this solicitation may be used to promote, support, or advocate the legalization or practice of prostitution.
