Restoration of Coarse Woody Habitat in Housatonic River Mainstream Impoundments: THIS IS NOTICE INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This is a notice of intent to award a Cooperative Agreement between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Connecticut Bass Nation, Inc. for the purpose of restoring Coarse Woody Habitat in three impoundments of the Housatonic River Mainstream. Coarse Woody Habitat serves a critical role in sustain desirable fishes and communities in lakes. Connecticut Bass Nation has a vested interest in improving recreational use opportunities in the mainstream Housatonic River Impoundments. The Service will benefit greatly from this project which will integrate public involvement and avoid adverse environmental impact and provide positive public relations experience.
