San Joaquin River Region Water Quality Monitoring: US EPA Region 9 is soliciting proposals for a project to improve water quality monitoring and assessment in the San Joaquin River Hydrologic Region 1. Funding is available through a cooperative agreement for a project to develop a system for improved monitoring and assessment of water quality in the San Joaquin River Basin with the goal of building a public-private partnership to produce information needed for more effective environmental management. The final product of this effort will be a San Joaquin Water Quality Regional Monitoring Strategy. Funds will be awarded pursuant to Section 104 (b) (3) of the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. §1254 (b) (3).
