Scaling Integrated, Effective and Sustainable Services for the Prevention of Mother to Child HIV Transmission (PMTCT) in the Republic of Uganda under PEPFAR: 1)Provide, through the Government of Uganda district systems, comprehensive PMTCT services throughout the antenatal, maternity, postnatal and infant periods, including HIV screening, diagnosis, staging and ART prophylaxis for HIV-infected pregnant women and their newborn infants and Highly Active Anti-retrovial Therapy (HAART) initiation for those eligible for treatment, and 2)Strengthen linkages and coordination between PMTCT and reproductive health at the national and local levels.
