Securing Fair and Reliable Critical Mineral Supply Chains: Subject to the availability of funds, USDOL’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) intends to award, through a competitive process, 2 cooperative agreements of a combined $9,000,000 total costs, to address egregious labor practices — child labor and forced labor — that disadvantage American workers and businesses in a key sector for U.S. economic security, critical minerals. These projects would focus on improving policy frameworks and systems for monitoring and identifying child labor and forced labor, and supporting relevant enforcement and remedial actions, in critical mineral supply chains in Indonesia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.Outcome(s)• Project outcomes will be developed post award through ILAB's Stakeholder Engagement and Strategy Validation
