Sexually Transmitted Diseases/Human Immunodeficiency Virus Prevention Training Centers: The purpose of this program is to create a National Network of Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD)/Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Prevention Training Centers (NNPTC). The Prevention Training Centers (PTCs) will provide high-quality curriculum development, training and training assistance for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) for health care professionals and prevention specialists across the United States and targeted countries.This program addresses the "Healthy People 2010" focus areas of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, HIV, and Public Health Infrastructure.
