Short-term Mentored Career Enhancement Award in Oral, Dental and Craniofacial Research for Mid-Career and Senior Investigators (K18): This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages applications for short-term mentored career enhancement (K18) awards in dental, oral and craniofacial research with a focus on behavioral and social sciences, and genetic and genomic research. The intent of this K18 program is to provide mid-career or senior investigators with short-term training in the theories, tools, methods or approaches of another scientific area, in order to enhance their existing research program. Two categories of candidates are targeted: (a) established dental, oral, and craniofacial research investigators who seek training with investigators from another field, in order to enrich their existing dental, oral and craniofacial research program; and (b) established investigators in other fields who seek training with dental, oral and craniofacial research investigators in order to facilitate the introduction of dental, oral and craniofacial research into an existing research program.
